What is a compromise?

What does the word "compromise" mean
In Latin, the term "compromise" meansmutual consent on the basis of mutual concessions. That is, when we are talking about a compromise, we mean that both interested parties will achieve the desired result if they make concessions to each other. It is impossible to reach a compromise, it will be conceded only by one side in the conflict.
In order to reach a compromise, it is necessary to adhere to several rules.
- Both sides should not only listen, but alsohear the partner. That is, you must be 100% sure that your interlocutor correctly understands the thoughts and requirements you set out. Accordingly, you must also understand correctly what the interlocutor wants. It is impossible to reach a compromise if you or the second side of the conflict stubbornly defend your point of view without paying attention to the other.
- As mentioned above, the result of the dialogueshould lead to mutual benefit and to mutual concessions. At a compromise it is not supposed, that one party has conceded the position, and the second thus only has received benefit.
If you and your partner follow both rules, then you will learn to reach a compromise in any situation, and therefore keep a good relationship with everyone around you.
