What are off-balance accounts?

  1. )))))))) ... these are the accounts of accounting, whose indicators are not included in the balance sheet data ... an example of an off-balance account may be the rental of equipment, which is reflected in the off balance sheet. 004 ... good luck in studying accounting!
  2. In my modest experience, the answer of previous years is more approximate to the practice (hereinafter referred to as the copy): This is an account on which the MCs and OSs are reflected which, as it were, are not written off, but they are (laptops, furniture, overalls, teleons and other trifles) . To account for leased OS, for example, or accounting for the OS is less than 40tys .... That is, to take into account what is not included in the balance sheet of the enterprise. This is so that when the employee is dismissed, an off-balance account should be opened, find out what is on it, say, a mobile phone (issued somehow), and when confiscated, this mobile phone is confiscated, or it will carry away with it - that's waste. .
    There is such in practice, you put, for example, trees, on the main and immediately "write off" - translate for off balance.
  3. Off-balance accounts are intended for the bookkeeping of inventory items that are temporarily in use or disposal of the enterprise, but do not belong to it. In addition, the same accounts record contingent rights and obligations. These accounts are also used to control individual business transactions.

    The list of off-balance accounts with 001 for 011 is given in the standard Chart of Accounts at the end of the list of main synthetic accounts and has a three-digit designation:

    001 Leased fixed assets;
    002 Inventories accepted for safekeeping;
    003 Materials accepted for processing;
    004 Goods accepted for commission;
    005 Equipment accepted for installation;
    006 Forms of strict reporting;
    007 Written-off debt of insolvent debtors;
    008 Secured liabilities and payments received;
    009 Secured liabilities and payments issued;
    010 Depreciation of fixed assets;
    О11 The main means transferred for rent.

    Funds that are recorded on off-balance accounts are not included in the balance sheet results and are reflected in the balance sheet.

    The peculiarity of off-balance accounts is that a simple accounting system is used to account for funds, that is, a double entry is not applied for keeping records on these accounts. When funds are received, their value is reflected only in the debit of the off-balance account, and upon disposal of the funds, their amount is debited from the credit of the same account.

    For example, when accepting goods for safekeeping, their value is reflected on the debit of the 002 account. Inventory items accepted for safekeeping, and when goods are disposed of, their value is debited from the credit of the same account.
