Two Women Assaulted for Kissing Each Other at Six Flags New England
Two women were at Six Flags New England on July 29.
Around 7 p.m., officers responded to reports of a fight on a bridge near Six Flags. When they arrived, one woman had a bloody cut on her nose that she said happened from being hit.
The victim, 18, said her and her girlfriend, 19, were on their way to a tram station when they stopped on the bridge to talk and kiss. That’s when she said a Hispanic woman stopped to stare at them.
When the victim asked if she had a problem, the woman said, “No, I’m just waiting for my kid. I wouldn’t care about your gay a**es anyway,” the police report stated.
The victim and her girlfriend started to walk away and the woman started to yell homophobic slurs at the couple. The victim said she then turned around and “got in her face,” and asked what her problem was. Then, the woman started to punch the victim, knocking her to the ground. She then kicked her and pulled her hair.
Another woman came to the fight and hit the girlfriend, according to the police report. They left as a crowd gathered. The girlfriend said the two women had a knife about three inches long.
The suspects tried to leave in a car when police brought the victims to the parking lot to identify the women. They said that Damarielys Mukhtar, 29 and Nikia Butt, 27, were the attackers and the women were arrested.
Mukhtar was released on ,000 bail and Butt is being held without right to bail as she was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in March 2014.
