This Skydesk is an observation deck for airplanes
Windspeed has published the concept of a viewing platform for aircraft, which looks like a glass capsule straight from the future aircraft.
Aerospace company Windspeed called itsthe development of SkyDeck is a heavenly deck with a glass ceiling for panoramic viewing. A couple of passengers will be able to look in all directions, watching the flight as close to the sky as possible, so people with aerophobia will not be able to do this kind of travel. Although the developers of the concept assure that the viewing platform will be absolutely safe and give an inexpressible new experience.
Windspeed Technologies are based in Washington andwork on their idea for more than a year. According to their plans, first class passengers will climb into the capsule on a special automatic elevator or on the stairs. Such facilities occupy more space than usual seats in the cabin, so it is worth considering the high cost of implementation and the questionable use of the operation. SkyDeck is clearly not designed for use in standard aircraft and will suit customers who are already tired of flying in the usual first-class airliners.
"This capsule can be installed on board anysize. The viewing platform will be located at the rear of the aircraft, and additional fuel consumption due to the added resistance will be minimal. SkyDeck attracted attention at a recent National Aviation Conference in Las Vegas. We already have some agreements with one of the European companies, "said Windspeed CEO Shakil Hussein.
According to the developers, the "heavenly deck"withstands all the loads during the flight and even the impacts of flying birds. The problem of the formation of condensate on the glass was decided by an anti-condensate film, and also equipped with its ultraviolet protective coating. As soon as SkyDeck has its first customers, the system will be tested for a long time, and only then it will be delivered for installation.
