How many chickens live?
The question of how many chickens live is very ambiguous, since the owner never waits for the bird to grow old and die its death. The fact is that the chickens are distributed to:
- Layers that fulfill the plan to carry eggs for food;
- hens that hatch posterity;
- broilers, which are taken for food.
It is on the task of the chicken that the duration of her life depends.
If the hen is a laying hen, then it is kept in the household,The productivity will not start to decline. Such chickens carry eggs for up to three years, after which the amount of the product decreases. Therefore, most often such a bird after this period is used in food. We can say that the laying hen (as well as the hen) does not live more than three years. If you let the bird survive to the age of five, it will become stiff, almost inedible. But if you miss out on the fact that the bird is being killed, it can survive up to 10 years (some breeds live 5-6 years). Therefore, the question of how much the chicken lives on depends only on its owner.
If we talk about broilers, they live onlya month and a half. Such chickens have time to gain the right weight (from 2 kilograms), grow rapidly. And if the broiler is not eaten after this period, it will be hard and unsuitable for eating.
